About the Artwork
The Honeysuckle tile panel is a signature style of De Morgan’s later period, now referred to as the “Persian style”. Highly fashionable in the late 1900’s, Islamic ceramic design was celebrated for their vivid colours and intricate repeating patterns.

Hardy honeysuckle, in its blooming splendour, graces gardens with clusters of fragrant, tubular flowers. With colours ranging from creamy whites to vibrant pinks and oranges, this resilient perennial vine attracts hummingbirds and butterflies.
